Oldest of six brothers, Colorado College footballer, and a University of Minnesota-trained pediatric dentist with a special heart for patients with special needs.
Dr. Zachary Van Hilsen, DDS, MS, grew up in Gilbert, Arizona, the oldest of six brothers — helping raise his younger siblings, playing sports, and working the family ranch raising Angus cattle. He came to Colorado to attend Colorado College, where he played football.
He earned his DDS from the University of the Pacific in San Francisco in 2008. After two years in private practice he discovered his calling: caring for children and patients with special needs. He completed a two-year pediatric dentistry residency at the University of Minnesota in 2012 — where he first connected with Dr. Stettler, the founder of Kids Rock Dentistry and Orthodontics.
Dr. Zach returned to Colorado Springs, where he and his wife Sara are raising their family. Outside the office you’ll find him outdoors with his wife and kids, exploring Colorado, and cheering on his favorite sports teams.
